The Westman area will be well-represented at the Manitoba AAA Midget Hockey League’s all-star game, with half of Team West Division players coming from the Brandon Wheat Kings and the Yellowhead Chiefs.

The Wheat Kings will be represented by goalie Justin Holder, defencemen Ty Webber and James Shearer as well as forwards Tyler Coulter and Brandon Switzer. Brandon head coach Ken Schneider will coach the West Division squad.

Bradley Bowles, Shawn Bowles and Taylor Sanheim, the top three scorers in the league, will represent Yellowhead, along with defencemen Travis Sanheim and Nolan Speiss. Cameron Whyte, Daylon Creasy and Meyer Nell, all forwards for the Southwest Cougars, will be in the game, as will St. Alphonse’s Colt Conrad, a forward with the Pembina Valley Hawks.

Jordan Bochinski and Ryley Lindgren, prospects for the WHL’s Brandon Wheat Kings, will be on the East Division team.

The all-star game will be held at Dauphin’s Credit Union Centre on Jan. 12 at 3:30 p.m.
