Despite a late start due to their lease negotiations with the Keystone Centre, the Brandon Wheat Kings sold about 1,700 season tickets before Friday’s early-bird deadline.
That’s down from last year, when the Western Hockey League club sold a little more than 2,000 by the deadline before finishing at about 3,000 for the season.
