Cameron Whyte scored a goal and set up another to lead the Southwest Cougars to a 4-1 win over the Pembina Valley Hawks in Manitoba AAA Midget Hockey League action in Killarney on Tuesday night.
Sheldon Kowalchuk, Tanner Lewis and Michael Fortin also scored goals for Southwest (5-3-1), while Tyson Verhelst and Josh Diaz combined to make 44 saves.
Lawson McDonald scored the lone goal for Pembina Valley (4-2-2), while Zac Robidoux made 25 saves.
