The Westman Wildcats Midget AAA girls hockey team wasted no time getting the 2012-13 hockey season off on a winning note.
The Wildcats dominated an exhibition tournament in Swift Current, en route to a 3-0 win over the Regina Rebels on Sunday to hoist the championship trophy.
Teagan Pringle led the way for the Wildcats in the final, scoring twice while Ashleigh Brykaliuk scored the only other tally.
Kristen Campbell picked up the shutout in net.
On Saturday, the Wildcats defeated Swift Current 4-1. Karissa Kirkup scored twice.
The Wildcats also tied the Regina Rebels 3-3 during tournament play. Jaycee Magwood, Karissa Kirkup and Teagan Pringle scored the Wildcats goals.
