Wildcats rebound from loss to beat Capitals

The Westman Wildcats closed out their Manitoba Female Midget Hockey League regular season on a winning note on Sunday.

Jossa Danis and Jaycee Magwood both scored for the Wildcats (16-7-5) at Hartney as they earned a 2-1 win over the Central Plains Capitals (14-8-5). On Saturday, Magwood and Kenzie Robinson scored for Westman in its 4-2 home loss to the Winnipeg Ice (5-17-5). The Wildcats will finish in either second or third place.

The Yellowhead Chiefs (14-12-2) took three of a possible four points on the weekend to close out their regular season. Jessi Rampton and Jordyn Tibbatts both scored on Sunday as the fifth-place Chiefs tied the NorMan Wild 2-2 in Flin Flon. The Chiefs won 5-2 over the host Wild (11-14-3) on Saturday.
