Wildcats up 2-0 in semifinal with Avros

Samantha Dyck scored a pair of goals to lead the Westman Wildcats to a 5-3 win over the host Winnipeg Avros Saturday night and a 2-0 lead in their best-of-five Manitoba Female Midget Hockey League semifinal.

Ashleigh Brykaliuk, Karissa Kirkup and Jessica Vallotton also scored for the Wildcats. Westman will have its first chance to wrap up the series and secure a spot in the league final on Wednesday when it hosts Game 3 in Hartney at 8 p.m.
