Brody and Tyler Wilson of Birtle both came home from the Canadian archery championships in Lac La Biche, Alta., with medals, and Brody also had a new Canadian record at the event that ran from Aug. 1-10.
Brody, 12, set the record in the pre-cub recurve division 720 event. He also captured gold in the division’s FITA target event and the pre-cub compound’s 3-D event. He won silver in the field competition.
Tyler, 16, won gold in the cadet compound field competition and was a finalist in the grand prix of the 3-D event.
Both boys won gold at the Manitoba championships earlier in the summer and are on the 2015 Canada Games development team.
