Wolverines shut out

The Westman Wolverines fell to 0-4 by dropping a 44-0 decision to the North Winnipeg Nomads in a Manitoba Major Football League game on Saturday in Winnipeg.

The Nomads (4-0) led 14-0 at the half, then blew the game wide open with a 23-point third quarter.

Shayne Sebree ran 13 times for 71 yards for the Wolverines, while Chris Stantial carried five times for 31 yards. Westman QB Seth Hume completed 5-of-25 passes, with an interception. He completed two of those passes, for 51 yards, to Grant McDill.

Brendynn Tuttosi had six tackles and a half sack for the Wolverines, while Ethan Jowett had five tackles and a half sack. Tain Heywood added two tackles and an interception, while Jordan Hicks picked up two tackles and a sack. Bradley Kyle picked up 83 yards on four returns for the Wolverines, who visit the 0-4 Greendell Falcons this Saturday in the 22-and-under league.
