Glenboro’s Josh Wytinck started the 2013 university golf season in style on the weekend.
Wytinck led the University of Manitoba Bisons to the team title while shooting rounds of 65 and 69 to finish -10 and take the individual title at the Concordia Invitational tournament in Moorhead, Minn.
Wytinck’s efforts helped the Bisons post an overall team score of 562 to finish -14 and top the eight-team field, setting a Bison team record for a two-round combined score. Wytinck’s 65 and teammate Scott Mazur’s 62 also broke the Bisons team record for lowest individual rounds, with Mazur (62-74-136) finishing two back of Wytinck (65-69-134).
