Yellowhead's Bowles player of the week

Brad Bowles was impressive on both ends of the ice on the weekend to earn the nod as the Manitoba AAA Midget Hockey League’s Chicken Chef West Division player of the week.

The Yellowhead Chiefs forward from Elkhorn was involved in four of his team’s five goals, scoring both goals in the Chiefs’ 2-1 overtime victory over the Parkland Rangers and adding a goal and an assist in Yellowhead’s 3-1 triumph over the Central Plains Capitals. Bowles also posted a +5 plus/minus rating, and now leads the league in scoring with 60 points — including 21 goals — in 40 games.
