Mafi scores only try of match as Force beat Reds 19-12 for 1st win of Super 15 season

BRISBANE, Australia - Winger Alfie Mafi scored the only try of the match to give the Western Force a 19-12 win over the Queensland Reds and their first Super 15 rugby victory in four matches this season.

While Wallabies halfback Will Genia made his injury comeback, it was another No. 9, former All Black Alby Mathewson, who starred in the win. Mathewson set up Mafi's try as the Force celebrated their first win in Brisbane in six attempts.

Genia said "too many errors, too many times running into touch and too many poor passes ... it wasn't acceptable."
