The WHL’s Brandon Wheat Kings will be without defenceman Tyler Yaworski when they return to the ice on Friday night at Westman Place against the Moose Jaw Warriors.
Yaworski’s indefinite suspension was finalized at three games on Monday after he received a checking-to-the-head major and game misconduct in last Wednesday’s game versus the Giants in Vancouver. The 20-year-old blue-liner sat the Wheat Kings’ final two games of their West Coast road trip — Friday’s 8-1 loss to the Kamloops Blazers and Saturday’s 3-2 shootout loss to the Prince George Cougars — and has one more game left to serve on his suspension.
