My daughter Chanique and I attended the Evans Theatre on Jan. 4, as did many others who were braving the frigid temperatures to park and run for their lives into the George T. Richardson Building (University Library).
It was pleasant in the quaint little Evans theatre as we sat and watched a documentary called 15 Reasons to Live, a new film by the infamous documentary filmmaker Alan Zweig.
This not-for-profit theatre prides itself on bringing great movies to Brandon. The film selection varies from the big blockbuster titles, to unique, foreign, independent, and even locally produced movies.
I think a great idea for something new in the New Year is perhaps putting it on your to-do list to check out a movie at the Evans.
If you want to see what is playing or if you would like to find out more information about donating to the only volunteer theatre in Brandon, check them out at: evanstheatre.ca
