Fans filled the seats in anticipation of a very long-awaited show. I did many rounds looking for long-bearded Brandonites for my social column and managed to find a few.

I asked a couple of young men if they grew their beards in anticipation of ZZ Top coming to town to which one replied, "no this is how I always look."

Kudos to the promoters who continue to attract major name bands, such as ZZ Top, to Brandon.
