The 28th annual Kiwanis Kar Derby was the largest ever. Held May 31, it attracted 104 boys and girls, ages eight to 14, who launched their cars down the Rideau Street hill at Lorne Ave. East.
The event is The Kiwanis Club of Brandon's major fundraiser. All the money raised by Kiwanis goes to help the Children of Brandon.
In the award photos below, Brandon’s deputy mayor Shawn Berry (left) and Roy Bird, governor of the Kiwanis Western Canada District, were on hand to present trophies.
