The Nifty Needlers have once again demonstrated their community spirit by donating to the Brandon Regional Health Centre Foundation’s "A Sense of Home" Residence Building Campaign for Murray House.
Nifty Needlers are a group of 50 to 60 women of all ages and walks of life, from Brandon and surrounding communities, who meet every other Wednesday September to April at Central Community Centre in Brandon. Participants are as involved as they choose to be, sharing knowledge and expertise in their areas of interest with others in a way that is mutually supportive and encouraging.
In addition to an organized program of learning that includes basic and new techniques delivered by participants and guest speakers, participants work together collectively to give back to the community through development and distribution of an annual quilt raffle and charity quilts.
