Cohen Folkerts hammered home 11 kills as the Vincent Massey Vikings beat the Neelin Spartans 3-1 (25-23, 25-23, 23-25, 25-19) in Brandon High School Volleyball League junior varsity boys’ action at Neelin on Wednesday.
Berthold Bushidi added six kills and four blocks for the Vikings.
Connor O’Greysik had seven kills for Neelin, with Sebastien Shakotko recording 12 assists.

Neelin won the varsity boys’ match 3-1 (25-23, 23-25, 28-26, 25-22).
In varsity girls action late Tuesday, Hannah McGregor racked up 10 kills and four aces in a 3-1 (25-10, 25-19, 21-25, 25-21) Vikings victory over the Spartans.
Ashley Sullivan recorded six kills, with Reece Cowan recording 14 digs.
Elli Pomehichuk led Neelin with five kills and two blocks, while Isabella Didych served five aces and Dana Linov posted 21 assists.
Virden swept Crocus Plains 3-0 (25-18, 15-14, 25-13) in the other match.
Next week, Crocus visits Neelin on Tuesday while Massey heads to Virden in girls’ action. The Spartans visit the Plainsmen on Wednesday on the boys’ side.
The JV matches start at 6 p.m., with varsity to follow at 7:30.
