DAWSON CREEK – Liam Hickey scored two goals to lead Canada to a 3-1 win over Czechia in Para Cup hockey action on Monday.

Vincent Boily added the other score for Canada, which improved to 2-0 after Sunday’s 7-0 tournament-opening win over China.

Vaclav Hecko had the lone goal for Czechia with 6:36 left in the contest.

After a scoreless opening period, Boily opened the scoring 2:10 into the second period.

Hickey doubled Canada’s lead almost 10 minutes later. He added his second of the game to make it 3-0 at 11:56 of the third period.

Canada will next play the rival United States on Wednesday.
