Police have tracked down a $170,000 combine that was stolen from Brandon nearly three years ago, but they haven't yet arrested the alleged thieves.
The combine was reported stolen from a dealership on 18th Street North on Sept. 22, 2010, but investigators were only recently tipped off that it could be found near North Battleford, Sask.
Mounties in Saskatchewan were able to find the combine — a 2006 John Deere 9660 WTS — on April 19, at which point it was discovered that the machine was being used in a custom combining operation in both Alberta and Saskatchewan.
Police say they've got arrest warrants for two Manitoba men, aged 37 and 67, on charges of possession of stolen property, in relation to the incident.
