Gusty winds and snow this morning, but slightly warmer

About 5 cm of snow is expected today, but stiff winds may make it feel like quite a bit more.

Environment Canada is calling for snow to start before noon, with 30 km/h winds that could gust to 50 km/h. Those should die down this afternoon, as temperatures head to a high of -17 C.

The snow will end before this evening, after which skies will clear, according to the forecast. OVernight winds of about 20 km/h will make it feel a little bit colder than the low of -24 C.

Tomorrow will be sunny, with winds of up to 15 km/h and a high of -18 C.

Temperatures will moderate even more over the weekend. The predicted high for Saturday is -9 C, and -7 C for Sunday. Both days are expected to be cloudy, with overnight lows of about -11 C.

Monday will follow the same pattern, but temperatyres will dip later in the week, with a high of -18 C expected by Wednesday.

The normal high for this time of year is -11 C. The normal low is -22 C.
