Police blotter — April 23, 2014

Brandon police had their hands full with a number of comings and goings Tuesday.

They said Wednesday morning that in the previous 24 hours, they had made five minor arrests.

Three were separate arrests for people who were drunk in public. A fourth was cuffed to prevent a breach of the peace — and was also intoxicated. The fifth was held overnight to be released Wednesday morning with a ticket for having open liquor in a vehicle.

Police also said that the two youths who were reported as runaways from a local group home have apparently returned. But now they're on the lookout for a different group home resident, who was reported to have run away overnight.
