Police made five minor arrests Tuesday during the day and through the night — including three people who were so drunk they were passed out in public.
They said Wednesday morning that, in the previous 24 hours they had arrested a total of four people for being drunk in public, starting at noon.
That's when they came across a 33-year-old man passed out on a lawn in the 900-block of 11th Street.
Later Wednesday afternoon, at about 3:50 p.m., a 43-year-old man was found passed out in the Keystone Centre complex.
Then, early Thursday morning, just past 3 a.m., a 32-year-old man was found passed out near the corner of 12th Street North and Assiniboine Avenue.
All four were taken to the drunk tank for the night.
A fifth drunk man was arrested just before 5 a.m. at the hospital. The 21-year-old wasn't a patient, but was drunk, making a nuisance of himself and refusing to leave. Police say he was arrested to prevent a breach of the peace and would be released once he sobered up.
A fifth minor arrest on Wednesday was of a 15-year-old girl, who was taken to the Youth Addictions Stablization Unit in Winnipeg.
