A Brandon man and his girlfriend both face charges after a fight in which they each assaulted the other, police say.
Officers were called to a reported domestic assault on Sunday, where they found that the 18-year-old man had assaulted his 19-year-old girlfriend by pushing her to the floor and stomping on her foot.
However, they also found that the woman had thrown a knife at the man, and had jabbed him with scissors. He had minor scratches from the scissors, but neither he nor his girlfriend required medical attention.
Police arrested both of them, but they have since been released. They'll appear in court on June 23 to face assault-related charges.
