• Brandon University will host Alumni Night at Black Wheat Brewing on Thursday, from 5 to 7 p.m. Come to Black Wheat to join fellow alumni, catch up and remember your BU experiences.

• Will Mousseau, who made the new ceremonial eagle staff for BU’s convocation ceremonies, will speak at a Teachings House event on May 29. The talk will take place from 1:30 to 3 p.m. in He Oyate Tawapi Ceremony Room and will also be available online. The eagle staff includes various natural elements that are meaningful to both the university and the local Indigenous communities. • This year’s convocation ceremonies will take place on June 1 and 2 at the Healthy Living Centre. There will be four ceremonies, with science and music graduates receiving their degrees on June 1 at 10 a.m., followed by education in the 2 p.m. event. On June 2, health studies will be up first, at 10 a.m., followed by arts at 2 p.m.

• Registration is open for Mini University. Weekly day camps for children from kindergarten to Grade 8 will take place from July 4 to Aug. 25. More information is available at MiniU.BrandonU.ca. Bobcat basketball and volleyball summer camps will take place from July 31 to Sept. 1. Camps are available for youth from grades 4 to 12. More information can be found at GoBobcats.ca.
