A fifth City of Brandon employee has tested positive for COVID-19 since the pandemic started, according to a media release sent out Monday afternoon.
The employee works in the Brandon Police Service's bylaw unit and last worked on Wednesday, Nov. 18. They started to feel symptoms the next day and were tested the day after that.
As they came into contact with members of the public on their last shift, contact tracing is underway.
The Brandon Police Service building and all vehicles owned by the service were in the process of being deep-cleaned on Monday.
The employee is currently self-isolating at home.
