A man who broke into a Dauphin restaurant and made off with cash allegedly left his wallet behind. Police arrested him when he returned looking for it.

An alarm at the restaurant alerted police to the intrusion just before midnight on Tuesday.

They were in the midst of their investigation, about an hour and a half later, when their suspect returned to the scene of the crime.

Police say he had dropped his wallet and had returned to look for it.

Tarrin Clayton Robert Grimolfson, 18, of Dauphin has been charged with break, enter and theft. He was released with a court date of Aug. 28.

The stolen cash was recovered and returned to the business.
