The City of Brandon is reminding its taxpaying citizens that City Council will hold it’s public budget roundtable tonight, from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at New Era School.
The evening has been organized by the council to seek feedback from the community prior to the release of the 2013 draft budget next month, and then council’s respective budget deliberations in mid-January of 2013.
The mayor and council invite all interested members of the public to attend the discussion in the school’s gymnasium, located at 527 Louise Avenue. Refreshments will be available.
The roundtable format will allow residents to discuss with members of the council what the community’s spending priorities are, as well as the realitites of how the city would fund such priorities.
