A woman was arrested on Thursday after she allegedly robbed someone at a home last month.

On Feb. 13, police received a report of a robbery at a residence where the suspect used bear mace on the victim to steal more than $1,000.

The victim was acquainted with the suspect, whom police were unable to locate at the time.

The 34-year-old was located on Thursday after she called police herself for assistance on a separate matter.

She was arrested for assault with a weapon, possession of a prohibited weapon and possession of a prohibited weapon contrary to a prohibition order and lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre.

The woman is scheduled to appear in court on Friday.
