A man is facing several weapons-related charges after police allegedly found him in possession of weapons during a traffic stop Tuesday morning.

The man was a passenger in a vehicle stopped by police in the 900 block of First Street North and was found with a pair of brass knuckles and a large machete hidden in his pants.

The 24-year-old Brandon man was arrested for possession of a weapon, possession of a prohibited weapon, possession of a weapon contrary to a prohibition order and breaching a release order.

The man appeared in court Tuesday afternoon and was released on conditions, including a 24-hour curfew.
