One person was killed and another was sent to hospital with non-life threatening injuries after a vehicle struck a pedestrian on Grand Valley Road on Sunday.
According to Blue Hills RCMP, when officers arrived on scene around 6:30 p.m., the 18-year-old woman Brandon driving the vehicle had been removed from it and an 18-year-old man from Deloraine was located nearby.
The man was pronounced dead on scene, which was located eight kilometres west of Brandon on Provincial Road 459.
Early stages of an investigation have determined that the man was on the side of the road when the woman entered a curve, lost control and hit him. After striking the man, the vehicle left the road and rolled into a ditch.
Police are still investigating the incident with a forensic collision reconstructionist.
