SASKATOON – Correctional Service Canada is reviewing the circumstances surrounding the death of an inmate at an institution in Saskatoon.

The CSC says the inmate died Saturday while in custody at the Regional Psychiatric Centre.

The inmate has been identified as Tommy Veevee, who had been serving an indeterminate sentence for sexual assault.

Veevee had been in CSC custody since Nov. 2, 1998.

His next of kin have been notified.

CSC says police and the coroner have been notified of the death.
