Drug bust on 20th St.
Police took thousands of dollars’ worth of fentanyl off the streets of Brandon after a bust at a 20th Street apartment Monday evening.
Around 6:45 p.m., members of Brandon police service’s organized crime section, along with patrol members, executed a search warrant at an apartment on the 1200 block of 20th Street.
A search of the apartment resulted in police finding 37 grams of fentanyl, with a street value of about $15,000, and five grams of methamphetamine, which has a street value of about $300.
Police also found a digital scale, score sheets, packaging materials and various weapons, including a BB gun, a stun gun and an axe.
A 24-year-old woman who was inside the apartment was taken into custody. She is facing drug possession and weapon possession charges.
The woman is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 10.
Break, enter and theft
The Beer Warehouse on Victoria Avenue was targeted by four youths who allegedly broke into the store early Tuesday morning and helped themselves to multiple cases of an alcoholic beverage.

All four were arrested. Between them, they allegedly had five cases of stolen Twisted Tea in their possession.
Three of the youths were charged with break and enter to commit theft and minor consumption. They are due to appear in court on Sept. 24.
