Police arrested a man on Monday after he allegedly threatened a family with bear mace and kicked their dog.
On Sept. 24, police were called to the 100 block of 26th Street North after a family playing with their dog was approached by a man who was not known to them.
The man threatened the family while pointing a can of bear mace at them before kicking their dog.
The family was able to capture the incident on video, and the suspect was identified.
It is believed the man’s intoxication level at the time of the incident may have been a factor in his actions.
On Monday, the 21-year-old man was arrested and charged with assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, possession of a prohibited weapon and cruelty to animals.
