With COVID-19 health restrictions still in place, organizers for Canada's National Ukrainian Festival have announced that this year's ceremony will be held virtually for a second straight year.
The event is typically held in person at the Selo Ukraina festival site in Dauphin.
Last year's festival was also turned into a virtual cultural showcase because of the pandemic.
This year's virtual festival will take place from July 30 to Aug. 1.
"We are confident, if we continue to follow guidelines and safety protocols now in place, we will be able to celebrate at our in-person festival on August long weekend, 2022," organizers stated in a media release.
Organizers will reach out to ticket holders who carried over their 2021 tickets in the coming weeks to discuss options.
New information and updates will be posted on the festival's website, cnuf.ca.
