Two Brandon vehicle dealerships were broken into early Monday morning.
Thieves first forced their way into Murray Chrysler on Richmond Avenue around 3:30 am. The manager at the dealership told the Sun that suspects smashed through a metal side gate and then broke in through a back door.
While inside, the suspects took a key and stole the matching truck parked outside, which police said was a red 2019 Dodge Ram Rebel. Brandon Police said in a release that a vehicle reported stolen out of Winnipeg was found at the scene and that stolen property from the dealership was found downtown.
The stolen Dodge Ram was then taken to Precision Toyota on 18th Street where its believed the same suspects forced their way in through a back door at around 7:30 a.m. Precision Toyota General Manager Scott Ball said that keys were found scattered on the ground in the parking lot.
"To our knowledge, nothing was stolen," Ball said.
Anyone with information regarding these incidents are encouraged to contact Brandon Police Service.
