THE North Point Douglas Women's Centre is trying to get the message out to expectant mothers about the dangers of FASD, one poster at a time.
In partnership with the Aboriginal Health and Wellness Centre, Mount Carmel Clinic and local nursing students, the NPDWC is launching a poster education campaign aimed to give accurate, culturally sensitive information about the potential risks of drinking alcohol while pregnant.
According to a press release, the main message of the campaign is "You are not alone. Support is available."
The posters will be unveiled on Tuesday at the Mount Carmel Clinic. Children and Youth Opportunities Minister Kevin Chief is set to speak along with representatives from NPDWC.
