With this week’s opening of Thai Express, the food court at Shoppers Mall is now completely filled.
They had a great first day on Wednesday, during which plenty of people stopped by to check out the restaurant, which as the mall’s only Thai restaurant offers something new for visitors, Shoppers Mall marketing director Candace McKenzie said.
Shoppers Mall is currently undergoing a significant expansion, including the construction of new restaurants, a 62,500-square-foot Sobeys Extra grocery store and GoodLife Fitness.
The new restaurants will include a Swiss Chalet and Harvey’s combination on a freestanding pad at 18th Street and Richmond Avenue, pending final site approval, and an East Side Mario’s and Fionn MacCool’s combination, at a freestanding pad at the 18th Street entrance, also pending final site approval.
Construction of the Sobeys and GoodLife Fitness are well underway. McKenzie was unable to provide updates on the mall’s present transformation.
