A team from the Transportation Safety Board of Canada is investigating after a natural gas pipeline near McAuley was damaged last week.
The team was deployed on Oct. 6 to gather information and "assess the occurrence," reads a notification on the TSB’s website.
The Minell Pipeline, located west of the town, was punctured by an excavator on Oct. 5. There were no injuries reported and the pipeline was put back into full service around noon Friday.
Russell, Inglis, Roblin, Riding Mountain West, Grandview, Gilbert Plains and Dauphin are served by gas from the pipeline.
Manitoba Hydro dispatched a natural gas trailer to the area to maintain pressure in the system and keep gas flowing after the puncture. The Crown corporation owns the pipeline.
Repairs to the pipeline were completed on Oct. 8.
