Taylor Cox put down 12 kills and two blocks as the Assiniboine Community College Cougars beat the Canadian Mennonite University Blazers in five sets for the second Manitoba Colleges Athletic Conference women’s volleyball match in a row on Saturday.

Elle Snyder added 11 kills and three aces for the Cougars, whose 3-2 (24-26, 25-20, 25-14, 23-25, 15-12) victory left them tied with the Blazers for third at 5-9.

In the men’s match, ACC (5-9) lost 3-0 (25-22, 25-23, 25-18) to CMU (12-2).

Assiniboine is done with its road schedule and returns to action on Sunday at home against St. Boniface. The Cougars then host the Providence Pilots on Feb. 10 and 11, and close against the Blazers on Feb. 18.
