Ty Webber hit a pair of three-run home runs for the Vincent Massey Vikings as they beat the Hamiota Huskies 16-7 in a Prairie West High School Baseball League game Wednesday at Andrews Field.

Marshal Burgess doubled, hit a homer and drove in three runs for Massey (5-0), while Clark Whelpton hit three singles, drove in two runs and scored three time. Brett Kitt came on in relief of Mitch Lyall and surrendered four runs in three innings of work to pick up the win.

Kyle Kostesky reached base three times, twice on singles, for Hamiota (2-4). Reggie Waddell took the loss.

In Wednesday’s other games, it was: Virden Golden Bears 11, Deloraine/Hartney Colts 0; Elkhorn Bulldogs 8, Boissevain Broncos 3; and Dauphin Clippers 5, Major Pratt Trojans 3.

Golden Bears 11 Colts 0

At Reston, Marc Fleury struck out 13 batters and allowed only two hits and two walks in seven innings to pick up the win for Virden. Wyatt Kalynuk went 2-for-2 with a pair of triples and two RBIs for the Golden Bears (3-2). Tyler Garbutt took the loss for the Colts (1-4-1).

Bulldogs 8 Broncos 3

At Boissevain, Taylor Sanheim hit three singles and a double and drove in two runs for the Bulldogs (2-3-1), while Shawn Bowles hit a pair of singles and drove in another run. Brad Bowles struck out four in four innings to earn the win. Skylar Canada lasted only two innings and was tagged with the loss for Boissevain (4-2). Zak Hicks drove in all Broncos runs.

Clippers 5 Trojans 3

At Dauphin, Darren Gudmundson earned the win for the Clippers (3-0). Rob Wishart took the loss for Major Pratt (3-2).
