The GW Vacuum Truck Service Young Guns will meet the RFNOW Cardinals in the Andrew Agencies Senior AA Baseball League final after a 16-3 victory over the Altus Cubs in the deciding Game 3 of their semifinal series at Andrews Field on Wednesday.
Sean Dryden earned a complete-game victory for the Guns, scattering seven hits and striking out five. Jason Rae had four hits, three RBI and scored twice for the Guns.
Derek Harris had two hits and scored for the Cubs, with Jackson Stephens taking the loss.
In the opening game of the South West Baseball League final, the host Boissevain Centennials scored four runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to escape with a 4-3 victory over the Oak Lake Dodgers.
Josh Wood’s one-out, bases-loaded single into right field brought in the winning run after Oak River pitchers struggled with their control late.
Zane Sawyer pitched all seven innings for the win, giving up seven hits and striking out three.
Tanner Clyne had two of Boissevain’s five hits.
Brady Moxham pitched five scoreless innings for Oak River, with Ty Paddock being charged with four earned runs in 1 1/3 innings. He gave up one hit and walked four. The winning hit came off Reece Ciprick.
Dayton Heino and Chad Klimnik each had a pair of hits and scored for the Dodgers.
A year ago, Oak River struck late to win Game 1, but Boissevain swept the next three games.
