Sean Dryden helped the GW Vacuum Truck Service Young Guns to a 10-2 victory over the Simard Industrial Giants in the Andrew Agencies Senior AA Baseball League at Sumner Field on Friday.
Dryden threw five innings, allowing two runs on seven hits and fanning five batters, and George McNeill had two hits, drove in a run and scored three for the Young Guns (12-1-1).
Ravi Hunter was tagged with the loss, and Daniel Bates had two hits for the Giants (2-11).
Meanwhile in the Santa Clara Baseball League quarterfinals, the Neepawa Cubs topped the Ebb and Flow Lakers to lead their best-of-three series 1-0.
In the Border Baseball League, the Cartwright Twins (8-5) earned a 10-7 win over the Killarney Lakers (2-12).
Pilot Mound (13-2) topped Clearwater (3-11) by an 11-7 margin, and the Winkler Whips (10-5) took a 7-5 decision over the Baldur Regals (6-7).
