Jordan Robertson walked off Game 3 of the best-of-five Andrew Agencies Senior AA Baseball League final at Sumner Field on Wednesday.
Robertson’s RBI hit in the bottom of the seventh — his second RBI of the contest — lifted the GW Vacuum Truck Service Young Guns to a 2-1 victory over the RFNOW Cardinals, who now lead the series 2-1.
Sean Dryden earned the complete-game victory, giving up one run on four hits and striking out four batters.
Buddy Mayert had a hit and scored the lone run for the Cardinals, and Joel Krentz took the loss in relief of Luke Whelpton.
First pitch of Game 4 is Sunday at 6:15 p.m., and if necessary a deciding Game 5 will take place Monday at 6:30 p.m.
In the Border Baseball League, the Pilot Mound Pilots punched their ticket to the title series with a 5-4 victory over the host Cartwright Twins to take the series 3-1. The Pilots, who captured the provincial senior AA baseball title last weekend in Rivers, await the winner of the Winkler Whips and Morden Mohawks series. The Mohawks extended it Wednesday with an 8-2 victory on home turf and now trail 2-1.
Meanwhile, Game 5 of the South West Baseball League final between the host Boissevain Centennials and Oak River Dodgers was postponed to today at 6:30 p.m.
