The new people behind the Brandon Shoppers Mall are making some major changes. Devan Properties Ltd., which purchased the shopping centre for $20 million from Bramalea Ltd. last November, will sink $2 million into renovations, company president John van Haastrecht said.

Local health officials are in the market for yet another specialist after Dr. Steve Kloppers, Brandon’s only ear, nose and throat surgeon, announced he is packing his bags and heading to British Columbia. Kloppers’ departure adds ear, nose and throat specialist to the lengthy list of specialists the Brandon RHA is currently looking for, including a urologist, an orthopedic surgeon, at least one internist and another obstetrician.
