THIRTY YEARS AGO

Kailey Mitchell, an 11-year-old girl from the Killarney area, captured two first-place prizes at the junior Hereford show. She continued a family record of impressive showings at the Royal Manitoba Winter Fair, which began five generations ago, shortly after W.R. Mitchell first set foot on Manitoba soil.
