The town of Dauphin may have slipped to third in the race to be declared Ultimate Fishing Town, but they’ve got a few tricks left.

Fearing that people may be busy, have grown tired of daily voting, or have simply forgotten, the Intermountain Sport Fish Enhancement Group has lined up volunteers who will do the voting for you. Because each vote must come from a different valid email address, and because each email address can vote once every day, the volunteers are collecting lists of email addresses that they will use to input your vote for you.

To go with this option, send an email to fishdauphin@gmail.com with a list of eligible email addresses.

The group also plans to have computers set up at the Dauphin Kings home opener, Friday night, so that people can vote straight from the game. They will also be collecting email addresses there.

At stake is the chance for $25,000 — which the provincial government has said it will match, if Dauphin wins — and a promotional spot on the World Fishing Network.

Vote at www.wfn.tv/ultimate-fishing-town/Dauphin. Voting closes Sept. 28.
