RCMP say the victim of Friday night's fatal highway crash is a 32-year-old woman from Minnedosa.
The woman was travelling northbound in a minivan with her four-year-old twins on Provincial Road 340 around 5:20 p.m. When she attempted to turn west on the Trans-Canada, the van collided with a westbound semi.
All three occupants of the van were extracted from the van and rushed to Brandon hospital. The four-year-old girl was air-lifted to Winnipeg in critical condition. She has since been upgraded to stable condition. The four-year-old boy was also transferred to Winnipeg, and is listed in stable condition.
The 64-year-old man driving the semi, from North Dakota was not injured.
Blue Hills RCMP continue to investigate the crash, in collaboration with the Criminal Crash Investigation Team and RCMP traffic analysts.
