Hey there, time traveller!

This afternoon will feel more like June than May — but tomorrow will be downright August.
Environment Canada says that this morning will be a mix of sun and cloud, but skies should clear early this afternoon, bringing a high of 22 C. Winds will keep things slightly cooler, coming from the southwest at 20 km/h.
Temperatures will stay mild all night long, dropping to just 11 C overnight, under the stars, and tomorrow will dawn sunny, on its way to a scorching forecast high of 28 C.
Believe it or not, that won’t quite be enough to set a record. On that day in 1977, Brandon hit a record high of 31.1 C.
Along with the heat, clouds will roll in through the afternoon. There’s a 30 per cent chance of showers late in the afternoon, with showers a near-certainty early in the evening, and a risk of a thunderstorm. About 5 mm of rain is predicted, along with northwest winds at 40 km/h gusting to 60 km/h.
That rain will cool things off considerably. Friday is expected to be sunny, but with a closer-to-normal high of 14 C, along with a low of 3 C.
And, if the forecast holds, Brandon is in for a pretty reasonable weekend. At the moment, the forecast is calling for sun and clear skies both days, with a high of 19 C on Saturday and a high of 22 C on Sunday.
The normal high for this time of year is 17 C; the normal low is 4 C.
