WINNIPEG – The men vying to become Manitoba’s next premier are squaring off tonight for the main televised debate of the election.

The 50-minute debate is set to air during supper-hour newscasts across the province.

NDP Premier Greg Selinger says he’s looking forward telling Manitoba voters what the party stands for.

Conservative Leader Hugh McFadyen says the debate is an important one since advanced polls open the following day.

There have been no shortage of debates this election so the leaders have had lots of practice.

Manitoba voters go to the polls Oct. 4.
