The Town of Neepawa will host an informational meeting for the public tonight regarding the fate of East View Lodge.
The public is encouraged to come and ask questions to representatives from the Ministry of Health, area MLA Stu Briese, Mayor Ken Waddell and others.
The meeting will address a potential offer from the province to hand the property over to the town for a two-year period following the demolition of East View Lodge.
The town is expected to work with developers to construct a non-commercial housing complex on the property in order to combat the housing shortage in the Neepawa area.
The public meeting will take place tonight at the Neepawa United Church Christian Education Centre at 7 p.m.
